Bretforton Ladies 1sts picked up their first win of the season last Saturday against Wotton-under-Edge and earned themselves three points to move off the bottom of the table.
Wotton put pressure on the visitors from the very start and were unlucky to score in the opening minutes of the game with a quick break from the off.
Both teams found it hard to get into the game to begin with, with rash tackles leaving two of the Bretforton players cautioned, and consequently sin-binned, in quick concession. Wotton looked to take advantage of the visitors’ missing players, and were unfortunate not to find the back of the net and themselves first to score.
